BaseNYC is expanding and to support our growing team we are looking for an additional Designer. As a Designer at Base, you will work with a Design Director and the project team to conceptualize, create, and execute to contribute to the success of a wide range of projects.

We are currently searching for both full-time and freelance candidates. For freelance candidates, we are open to remote work. For full-time candidates, we are currently working in a hybrid model and expect candidates to be able to join us in the office at least three days a week.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement (with the guidance of Senior Designers and Design Directors) a wide range of brand identity and interactive experience projects. You are in charge of bringing brand identities to life.
- Learn and understand the codes of Base’s approach and process to branding
- Demonstrate creative excellence via high quality craft and graphic design
- Learn to work across disciplines and media, from identity to interactive experiences
Qualifications
- 2+ years creative experience
- Motion, 3D, type design and illustration experience is a plus
- Understanding of current industry tools with the ability to adapt to new technologies (Adobe Creative Cloud, After Effects & Premier, Figma, UI, etc.)
- Collaborative. Proactive. Positive. Rigorous.
- Equal parts creative & strategic
- A restless thinker with a desire to challenge, surprise and stretch those around you
- Both highly-skilled & well-rounded (across all channels of graphic design and identity systems, and in many platforms, from digital to physical)
- Be culturally engaged and perpetually curious about the world around you
The salary range for a full-time Designer role is $60,000 - $80,000. Freelance project fees depend on experience and the needs of individual projects.
