BaseGVA is looking for a Mid-level Multidisciplinary Designer. As a Designer at Base, you will lead projects to conceptualize, create, and manage the day-to-day to ensure the success of a wide range of projects.

Responsibilities

  • Fluently apply Base’s ‘concept first’ approach and ‘creatively strategic’ process to branding and translate a brand essence into a relevant and differentiating brand identity.

  • Strategically Creative, Creatively Strategic: Help clients define and solve complex communication problems by grasping the essence of the brands and understanding the bigger strategic picture.

  • Find creative ways to solve UX/UI problems, and present ideas as interactive prototypes (with motion or code a plus).

  • Identity & Design Systems: Explore, test and develop flexible design systems that bring the strategy to life visually and verbally.

  • Collaborate closely with Strategists during the analysis phase, and participate in structuring a project's overall approach/vision.

  • Be responsible for ideating ownable and differentiating concepts, experiences, and designs that bring the brand to life and develop complex brand ecosystems throughout various touchpoints.

  • Ensure the consistency and relevance of a creative answer throughout a 360 brand identity.

  • Provide a global understanding of a project, from the client’s briefing to the final output.

  • Seek and work with talented collaborators who will enrich the work's quality (creative developers, animators, art directors, photographers, filmmakers, etc.).

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of creative experience
    Collaborative. Proactive. Positive. Rigorous.

  • A restless thinker with a desire to challenge, surprise and stretch those around you

  • Both highly skilled & well-rounded (across all channels of graphic design and identity systems and in many platforms, from digital to physical)

  • Be culturally engaged and perpetually curious about the world around you

  • French is a must – English full professional proficiency – German a plus
