The founding partner of Base New York, Geoff Cook focuses on marketing and brand strategy for a wide range of clients. He also handles all external affairs including business development and public relations for the New York office. Geoff partnered with Base in 1998 to open the New York studio. Previous stints as head of International Menswear for DKNY and with fragrance firm Firmenich provided him a solid foundation in the business of fashion and beauty that he has built on in leading the New York studio through work with such clients as MoMA, L’Oréal, Le Pain Quotidien, Spin, Gagosian Gallery, Neuehouse, Milk, Puma, Fred Segal Beauty, and Kiki de Montparnasse.
With an international perspective and a proficiency in four languages, Geoff has been integral to the continued expansion of Base’s international reach. A member of the Board of Directors of the Children’s Museum of the Arts, Geoff is a regular speaker at top business schools and conferences. He is also a mentor-in-residence at the renowned tech accelerator program TechStars, and a contributor to Fast Co.Design. He serves on the boards of advisors of Klooff, Placemeter, Social Sign-In and Crest & Co.
